Living in the South Plains for nearly ten years and growing up in an agriculturally rich area in West Texas and southern New Mexico, I know first-hand that the farmers and ranchers who raise our crops and livestock are the very foundation of our economy and life in the region.

Our district produces 50% of our nation’s cotton and both ranching and agricultural sectors employ tens of thousands of our neighbors.

I will work hard to ensure that our agricultural and ranching neighbors are supported by our governmental programs and remain competitive in an ever-changing global economy.
